Incised Plaster Sculpture
by Louise Nevelson
This is a striking yet somber sculpture by the famed NYC abstract expressionist. It is cast plaster with incisions throughout and mounted on a stained wood base.

"Untitled" is an edition 2 of 4.

Born in Russia, Nevelson grew up in Rockland, Maine then moved to NYC with her husband after 1918. She studied at the Art Students League under George Grosz , worked as an apprentice to legendary master, Diego Rivera and taught at the Educational Alliance in the Lower East Side
